Two technical notes for food stuff import operation:

.Arrange fabel pre-inspection and examination before arrange shipment or

 arrange label pre-inspection and examination and shipment at the same time, and apply guarantee upon shipment arrival.

At the port warehouse, imported food shall accept inspections. Before declare to customs, imported food shall declare commercial inspection, the required documents include: certificate of origin, health certificate, Chinese translation of label content, label sample(pack food, label sample is not required for raw material). The commercial inspection bureau will issue entry bill for customs declaration after the said documents are approved.

After receiving import food, the consignee shall submit samples  to Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau for inspection.  The consignee can obtain sanitary certificate if samples pass inspection. The certificate is to prove the imported food is safe to eat. And only with that certificate, shall the imported food  be allowed to flow to China market. Normally, it takes 15-20 days to get the certificate.
