The forty-second article of the food safety law stipulates that the packaging of prepackaged foods should be labeled. The imported prepackaged foods should have Chinese labels and Chinese instructions. Labels and manuals should conform to the requirements of this Law and other relevant laws, administrative regulations and national standards for food safety, and indicate the origin of food, the name, address and contact mode of domestic agents. If the prepackaged food does not have Chinese labels, Chinese instructions or labels, and the instructions do not conform to the provisions of this article, they shall not be imported.
